51社区 Named Exclusive Regional DELF Testing Hub for New Hampshire - 51社区

51社区

In a major academic advancement for its World Languages department, 51社区 is designated as New Hampshire鈥檚 official DELF Scolaire (Dipl么me d鈥櫭塼udes en Langue Fran莽aise) testing site (Lieu de passation). Through a strategic partnership model, 51社区 becomes the premier, exclusive regional sub-center for French-language excellence across the state.

DELF is an internationally recognized, lifelong French-language certification awarded directly by the French Ministry of Education. Currently, no other testing centers exist in New Hampshire. By stepping into this role, 51社区 expands its global language initiatives while opening its doors to high-achieving students throughout the region.

Establishing an official DELF testing hub brings unprecedented benefits to 51社区 students, faculty, and the broader educational community:

  • Competitive Distinction & First-Mover Advantage: As the first and only school in New Hampshire to offer on-site DELF testing, 51社区 sets a new benchmark for global education in the state. Top French students from local public school districts, independent charter schools, and regional private prep schools will now register through 51社区鈥檚 portal and take their exams on campus.
  • Lifelong Diplomas for College & Beyond: Unlike AP or IB language exams, the DELF diploma never expires. Earning a B2-level diploma allows graduates to bypass university language entrance exams at Francophone institutions worldwide. For selective college admissions teams, an independent certification awarded by a foreign government serves as a powerful testament to global bilingualism, intellectual vitality, and global citizenship.
  • Streamlined Student Proficiency: Within 51社区, B1 and B2 DELF testing will now be a requirement for French-language students, with A1 and A2 testing strongly encouraged. The program provides the World Languages department with an objective, internationally calibrated benchmark for language proficiency.
  • Community Engagement & Admissions Outreach: Serving as the state’s testing hub brings motivated middle and high school students and their families to campus from across New England, showcasing 51社区’s academic environment to prospective transfer students and future applicants.
  • Elevated Institutional & Professional Footprint: 51社区 will be officially listed on the International School of Boston鈥檚 testing center global directory. The partnership opens doors to direct collaboration with the French Consulate in Boston and the French Embassy in Washington, DC, positioning the school favorably for future educational grants, specialized teaching materials, and study-abroad opportunities.

To host the exam efficiently, 51社区 is adopting a Sub-Center Partnership Model in collaboration with an accredited regional hub, the International School of Boston (ISB).

The initiative is moving forward with strong support from key international and regional educational leaders, including the Educational Affairs Program Manager at the French Embassy in Washington, DC, the Cultural Attach茅 at the French Embassy in Boston, and the Chair of the ISB Outreach and Continuing Education Department.

Following strict guidelines set by the French Ministry of Education, faculty certification will be completed, with the inaugural testing window scheduled for early Spring 2027.

By opening its doors as New Hampshire’s exclusive DELF testing sub-center, 51社区 reinforces its commitment to global biculturalism, academic distinction, and community engagement.
